Keptia

Privacy Policy

Keptia does not collect your photos. There is no account and no sign-in. Your photos and videos are read on your device only and are never sent to a server. We cannot see them.

1. Personal information we collect

Keptia does not collect your name, phone number, email address, or any other information that identifies you. No account is required and there is no login.

2. Photos and videos

Keptia needs access to your photo library to work. It shows you one photo or video at a time and deletes the ones you choose.

You can withdraw photo access at any time — on iPhone in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos, on Android in Settings › Apps › Keptia › Permissions.

3. Information stored on your device only

So that the same photo is not shown to you over and over, the app stores the following in local device storage only. It is never transmitted, and we cannot access it.

ItemPurpose
On-device identifiers and order of photos you decided onAvoid showing the same photo again
List of items marked for deletionKeep your selection if you close the app
Number of photos cleared and space freedShow your running total on the results screen
Settings (language, vibration, reminder, tutorial shown)Remember your choices

This does not include your photos or anything about their content. These identifiers are only meaningful on your own device. Deleting the app deletes all of it. No separate deletion request is needed.

4. Notifications

Once a month, Keptia asks whether it is time to tidy up. This is a local notification scheduled on your device. No server is involved. We do not send it and cannot tell whether you opened it.

You can turn it off in the app’s settings at any time.

5. Advertising

Keptia shows a single banner ad at the top of the screen to support the app. Ads are served by Google AdMob. In doing so, Google may collect and use advertising-related information such as your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), device information, and an approximate location inferred from your IP address. This is handled under Google’s policies; see the Google Privacy Policy for details.

You can decline personalised ads — on iPhone in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, on Android in Settings › Privacy › Ads. Declining does not limit any feature of Keptia.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form is shown the first time you open the app. You can change your choice later from within the app.

Keptia does not use interstitial, rewarded, or native ads.

6. Remove ads purchase

There is a one-time purchase that removes the banner. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

The payment is processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We never receive or store card numbers or payment details. The app only checks with the store whether the purchase exists. If you change devices or reinstall, use “Restore purchase” in the app’s settings.

7. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or share your information with third parties. Ads are served through Google as described in section 5, and payments are processed by Apple or Google as described in section 6. There is nowhere else your information goes.

8. Location

Keptia does not request location permission and does not collect or track your location. Google may infer an approximate country- or city-level location from your IP address when serving ads.

9. Children

Keptia is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Your choices

Everything the app stores lives on your device, so you control all of it.
